Yamgo End-of-Service (EoS) Notice

We’ve made the tough call to shut down the Yamgo platform, and we didn’t make this decision lightly. That means that Yamgo will close on 31 December 2025 at 23:59 UTC. While we truly loved building Yamgo and the community around it, the reality is regulatory changes and costs to operate have become too cost-intensive, and the wallet is unsustainable. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to wind the service down. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Effective today, all rewards have been stopped. We are asking all users to migrate their wallets to a compatible third-party wallet as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT: Yamgo is a non-custodial service. Your digital assets live on-chain and will remain there after Yamgo wallet is switched off. To keep using them, import your account into a compatible Hedera wallet using your 12- or 24-word recovery phrase (or your private key). Compatible options include HashPack, Blade Wallet and WallaWallet. For your security, never share your recovery phrase or private key.

What happens next?

  • Service closure: Yamgo will be fully decommissioned on 31 December 2025 at 23:59 UTC.
  • Rewards ended: All rewards were stopped on 29 September 2025.
  • Migration required: Please migrate your wallet to a third-party service before the closure date.

Why we’re closing the Yamgo platform

Operating a crypto-adjacent service has become increasingly challenging under the current legislative and regulatory environment, making it more cost and risk intensive. After careful consideration, we concluded that an orderly shutdown is the most responsible course of action for our users, partners and team. As set out in our Terms, we may discontinue the service at any time.

Key dates

  • Immediately – Rewards stopped; migration window opens.
  • 1–31 December 2025 – Final reminder period.
  • 31 December 2025, 23:59 UTC – The Yamgo Platform shuts down and services are removed. Limited support may be available for a short period at the discretion of Yamgo

Data & privacy

We will delete any personal data that is no longer required at the shutdown, while retaining certain records where we are legally obliged to do so (for example, KYC and anti-money-laundering record-keeping). For details on what we keep and for how long, please see our Privacy Policy.

You can continue to make access, deletion or portability requests during the wind-down.
